The FA Community Awards, presented by McDonald's

Cambridgeshire FA is pleased to announce the 2010 winners of The FA Community Awards, presented by McDonalds.

The awards recognise and reward the great work that goes on week in and week out in grassroots football by volunteers to provide a fantastic environment for local people to participate in football.

The Cambridgeshire winners are:

• Outstanding Contribution to Community Football Award goes to Kate DaCosta of Cambridge Women's FC and Cambridge United Girls Centre of Excellence

• The FA Charter Standard Community Club Award goes to Bar Hill Colts FC

• The FA Charter Standard Development Club Award goes to
Cherry Hinton Lions FC (also Regional winners and now a Charter Standard Community Club)

• The FA Charter Standard Club Award goes to Swavesey Spartans

• Volunteer of the Year Award goes to Dave Heron of Cherry Hinton Lions FC

• Young Volunteer of the Year Award goes to Shuggie Russell of Cherry Hinton Lions FC

• Coach of the Year Award goes to Graham Pearl of Sawston United Girls


Each winner will receive:

• A certificate
• 1 x pair of general admission tickets to The FA Community Shield courtesy of McDonald’s
• FA & McDonald’s gift

Presentation of the awards will be made by Cambridgeshire FA's Chairman, at the Abbey Stadium prior to Cambridge United’s Football Conference match against Kettering on Tuesday 21st September 2010
