Sunday Centenary Cup Quarter Final Review

Sunday 29th January saw the Quarter-Finals of the Cambridgeshire Football Association Centenary Cup Sponsored by C J Murfitt Ltd. It turned out to be a day of suprise.

Winners of the Competition for the last two seasons Long Road Rangers suffered a shock exit at the hands of Littleport Sunday, who ran out 2-1 winners.

2011 finalists Kingsleys progressed to the Semi-Finals with a comfortable 6-0 win over New Chesterton Institute, with goals coming from Paul Wright (2) and one apiece for Michael Mabbitt, Ben Harman, Lee Harman and Scott Kitely.

A brace from Arran Maskell helped 2010 finalists Wilbraham Sunday ease past The Dobblers 4-1, the other goals coming from Dave Grainger and Jamie Seagrave.

In the other Quarter-Final Oakington Vikings Reserves overcame Little Thetford Lions 2-1.

The Semi-Final draw will see Oakington Vikings Reserves entertain Wilbraham Sunday and Kingsleys will host Littleport Sunday.
